All the President's Men

Alan J. Pakula, expert of the conspiracy thriller, directed an exciting film adaptation of the bestselling book of the same name by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, the Washington Post journalists who investigated a botched break-in at the Watergate complex in 1972. The revelations led to the premature resignation of US President Richard Nixon.

Dustin Hoffman – intense, neurotic – and a calm Robert Redford deliver compelling performances as the Woodward-Bernstein duo. The film received eight Oscar nominations and won four, including an Oscar for Jason Robards as executive editor of the Post and one for William Goldman's screenplay.
