Skintown

Northern Ireland, 1994. Following a historic ceasefire, the first tentative steps towards peace are being taken, but best friends Vinny and Jonty are busy with very different things. Raised in Enniskillen, a town made famous in 1987 by a deadly IRA attack and renamed 'Skintown' by its cynical locals, they dream of freedom and adventure. Determined to escape the mundane, a reckless escape plan is set in motion that will turn their future completely upside down. Accompanied by a driving soundtrack, Skintown merges the heady rise of nineties' rave culture with a sharp portrait of a young generation. The result is a nostalgic coming-of-age story that pays tribute to their resilience, connection and endless sense of humour, proving that even in uncertain times, the dance floor can be a refuge.
